About Me
I grew up in central New Jersey. During my childhood I was actively involved in various sports and played with and against Old Bridge and Sayreville teams. I remain active both as a player and as a coach for my daughter's teams.
I attended Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ, where I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Technology Management and Master's Degrees in Technology Management and Engineering Management. During my career I consulted for major companies such as the Federal Reserve Bank, Bank of Tokyo, AT&T, and IBM, working as a computer programmer, project manager, and management trainer.
Seeking more personal fulfillment, I changed careers in 2002 and began formally working in education. Since then I have completed a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and hold NJ State Department of Education certifications for Math, Science, Supervisor, Principal, and Business Administration. I have been teaching at Sayreville War Memorial High School since 2006.
My Philosophy
My philosophy is simple: I expect and require students to put forth their best effort at all times. For every action a person takes, a decision was made to take that action, and there are natural or defined consequences — good and bad — of that decision. Success comes down to accepting responsibility for our actions and the resulting consequences, and it begins with effort.
